With Righteous Fury
Under the Fury of Righteous…
The Circle is now completed
Finally, I got into the last unexplored area of my Wow Game Life… Tanking
I mean seriously, Most of the player wasn’t ready to getting hit with lot of angry mobs.
As my first toon is a squashy clothy mage, lay low is the key to survive, I always get my ice-block and blink+invisible ready for all occasion.I was trained up to avoid all those nasty baster attention when I grow up.
Being a healer is the very step of my ascension to be a (Noob) tank.
Being a Healer stand out of the crowd and occasionally put yourself on the stress spot on raid and instance.
Unless you are in a fight in need to kiting/mind-control/mage-tanking duty, there aren’t much situation a Dpsers will face a one-person-fail-then-wipe situation.
Although in a 5-man, both tank and healer are the stress point, there are very different
Being the Healer, keeping the tank and myself breathing is the main priority;
Silently stand in the back, keeping everyone’s health bar full. A good healer is an invisible healer.
Being the tank
Being a tank, on the other hand, Always standing under the spot light _all the time_.
Enter the dungeon, Buff up, and everyone is waiting for your first move.
When you start the deadly tango, everyone is looking at your parnter and you.
They keep Tossing flashy around you and the boss, and everyone is focusing on you.
In the shinny flashing scenic (especially for my exaggerating BElf Palachick), when the methody fade and another boss is down.
Thanks to you knowing the tricks of boss had made. The party can had a smooth and enjoyable run.
That’s what makes tanking so great.
I just wonder why didn’t I started tanking earlier…
Aggro is mine
I hold the line
A Little Secret of Draenei Shaman
* This was an old post on my P3P counter blog post
This was a big achievement for beloved Shaman Notus.
Only Draenei Shaman would recognized the following screenshot.
Here is when we get the last totem of wind. And we got to fly from the mountain top back down.
(While our horde counter part, would be NPC: “Take this totem and help yourself out”, Poor Hordies)
The circle is finally completed.
A Call To Arms
Last time I shared my favorite soundtracks, there was a track called “A Call To Arms”. While you’re listening to it, do you notice it is with lyrics, but hardly can understand what they’re singing?
Until I found a video on youtube uploaded by youtuber ilikesmecookies, he/she sought a Latin teacher to help translating those lyrics, and now we can understand what Blizzard wants to convey in this track.
I really appreciate his/her contribution. Here’s is the link:
Instances are group games!
I feel a bit upset with the current instance system. Undoubtedly it shorten players’ waiting time on running instance. However instances except giving satisfactions to players, they should involve communication and interactions amongst player and player.
But as I observe the current situation, it becomes: Players are assembled from different servers, very likely that players don’t know each other, player and player seldom communicate as they think they will not meet again after running the instance, so mostly they remain silent from start till end of a stance. It seems running instances only for completion and equipments, get everyone’s own need and end.
These are not the instances I’m looking for, I really hope instances are funny, watching people yelling, laughing, chit-chatting and can make new friends. I hope Blizzard can improve it, making instances become group games rather than dull jobs.
Healer be thy name
From the Boring Heroic PUG, this song run through my head couples of time
(In my own version of lyrics of course)
They call me ‘Heal’
They call me ‘Resto’
They call me ‘her’
They call me ‘Res’
That’s not my name
That’s not my name
That’s not my name
That’s not my nameThey call me ‘Healbot’
But I’ve got my Totem
‘Resto Shaman’ / ‘Hero-i-sm’
Always the same
That’s not my name
That’s not my name
That’s not my name
That’s not my nameI miss the heal if they hit me at all
I’m the first kid getting into the group
Keep up, falling, these heals they keep me boring
Getting Earthshield up and standing at the back nowSo alone all the time at back
Charge up blue bars
Listen to me, I’m OOM
Although I’m dry up, out and all with
Everything considered they forget my name
(ame, ame, ame)
The Battlefield medic
I may not be the guy who wield a deadly huge sword
I may not be the gnome who tossing that deadly fireball
I may not be the sniper who one-shot you when you look aside for a second
I’ll lie down on your first beam of laser
I’ll be chop down with couple hit of your sword
I’ll be toasted by a Big Red flaming orb.
Civilian they called me, But for anyone who mistaken I am harmless…
They had plenty of time to reconsider that when they staring the spiritual healer of their faction.
When you are toe to toe with your rival, I am the last guy you’ll want to see.
When two gank compete, we are there to tip the balance.
Good luck on Out DPSing Anub’arak and Onyxia
For we battle field medic, prolong your nightmare into never ending abyss trial.
We battle cry, we cleanseyour poison, cure you disease, claim down the feared,
And most importantly, we reverse any harm you had done with stylist Jesus beam.
Next time when you meet our fellow battle angels, think twice.
Background music – 1
Do you like listening to background music while leveling? I’m that kind of player who really into background music.
In my point of view background music is vital ingredient in a successful game, it can create various atmospheres to each map and enrich players’ game experience.
Here are the list of songs in the World of Warcraft sound track that I like the most:
Moonfall
Ruins
Sacred
Dun Morogh
Song of Elune
The Shaping Of The World
A Call To Arms
Legacy
I hope you also like those tracks, and do you have any favourites?
Dilemma : Helping Hand or …
If you were Kaspar…
I had a RL friend as my trading buddy in Wow (Let’s call him Kaspar). We share information on the markets, and correlate our trade together. Recently he drops out of school, because his family cannot support his tutorial fee anymore.
This of course affects his Wow Life as well.
On the other hand, I had another friend, who’s a very busy employed adult (Daniel). He can only play 2-3 hours a week (Much like our fire gnome friend.)
The Deal
Daniel suggested that he can sponsor Kaspar for subscription fee (Unlike our gnome friend), if he can sponsor his raiding expenses (Since he can spend all his online time on raiding but not farming for the consumption cost).
RL Sponsor vs. Wow-Gold Sponsor,
In short, a casual RMT.
Questions…
Should Kaspar accept the offer?
(It only takes him couple of hours to earn the consumption and enchantment material costs)
Or is Daniel’s offer acceptable?
Things You Don’t know about Azeorth – 1
There are many thing that one may missed, or naturally do not aware of.
Let’s Started with Karazhan….
When preparing this blog, we gotta take some picture on Karazhan.
We happens to discover that the blizzard developer left a mark on smiley on the ground of the instance.
(Covered with building, so the smiley is out of site)
